Le croissant de chocolat est délicieux

Yes, I'm speaking French! That's because of an awesome trip to Paris Delice on a Saturday afternoon with the whole yumyum monster gang!  Armed with a rumbling stomach, I headed to Makati Avenue for a fill of yummy pastries and hours and hours of chikahan with the girls.

Paris Delice is an alternative fast food restaurant that carries authentic French bread, pastries, sandwiches, quiches and salads, all at reasonable prices.  All bread and pastries are imported from Paris, while vegetables and dairy are sourced from local organic farms.  Everything is prepared fresh daily to guarantee an authentic French culinary experience.

On the table

  • Pinoy Fresh Salad
The salad is composed of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, tuna, eggs, grapes, and walnuts.

  • Roma Fresh Salad
The salad contains lettuce, mozzarella, Prosciutto, ham, and olives.

  • Le Lillois

French baguette filled with chicken, bacon, mayonnaise, tomatoes, and lettuce.

  • Bolognese pasta
Pene pasta with ground beef in a special meat sauce.

  • Quiche Lorraine
A savory pie with eggs, onions, and small chunks of bacon

  • Quiche Spinach
Another savory pie with spinach and blocks of feta cheese.

  • Fruit Tart
Fruit tart has cherry, orange, and kiwi.

  • Lemon Tart
Tart with a creamy lemon filling
  • Opera Cake
Dark chocolate ganache, coffee butter cream, and Joconde biscuit.

Grand lotto 6/55 is still up for grabs!  If I win 280 MILLION, I would be fulfilling my dream of flying to Paris and having an afternoon tea at the Ritz Paris, but until that streak of luck happens, Paris Delice is the go-to resto for authentic and delicious French breads and pastries.

I have the HOTS for you

This is one of the movies I have been waiting for since last year and finally it's gonna be shown on February 10!  THE VOW starring the YUMMY Channing Tatum and the lovely Rachel McAdams.

The movie is about a newlywed couple, Leo and Paige, who survived a car accident that put Paige in a coma.  When she awakes, Paige suffers from severe memory loss and doesn’t remember anything about her husband.  Despite these difficult obstacles, Leo is determined to renew their bond and rebuild their marriage.

Can a once in a lifetime love find a second chance?

It is based on a true story about a couple, Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, and dates from 1993, two months after their marriage, when their car was hit from behind by a truck.

Paige: "I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands.  To speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they're not, and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home."

Leo: "I vow to seriously love you, in all your forms, now and forever.  I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love.  I vow to love you and no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other."

I'm so00ooo gonna watch this film!  The main reason is because of Channing of course lol!  Another one of those tearjerker movie you can't miss.  Go with your girlfriends and cry your eyes out, as crying heal us physiologically, psychologically, and spiritually.  Here are 7 good reasons why we need to cry sometimes :P
  1. Tears help us see - Tears not only lubricate our eyeballs and eyelids, they also prevent dehydration of our various mucous membranes.
  2. Tears kill bacteria - Tears contain lysozyme that can kill 90 to 95 percent of all bacteria in just 5 to 10 minutes!
  3. Tears remove toxins - They remove toxins from our body that build up courtesy of stress.
  4. Crying can elevate mood - The act of crying can lower a person's manganese level.  If your manganese level is low, chances are that you will feel better because overexposure to manganese can cause anxiety, nervousness, irritability, fatigue, aggression, and emotional disturbance.
  5. Crying lowers stress - Tears are like perspiration in that exercising and crying both relieve stress.
  6. Tears build community - Tears help communication and foster community.
  7. Tears release feelings - Crying is cathartic.  It lets the devils out before they wreak all kind of havoc with the nervous and cardiovascular systems.
